3ds max - glass still showing black in viewports?

Can anyone else confirm that glass (or indeed any transparent material) displays as solid black in 3ds max viewports?

workaround is to make all glass objects "see-through" but it's not ideal...

running MW2, 3ds max design 2010, geforce 8800GT with latest drivers, win vista home pro 64-bit.

Yes, transparency isn't implemented in viewport display but we're working to bring it alive.

thanks for confirming. it's quite a big deal for arch-viz types like me, as we rely on good viewport accuracy when adjusting exposure etc to save time.
