Maxwell Render Alpha 1.1.30 released (Win Linux Mac)
Posted: Wed Mar 23, 2005 10:06 pm
We have uploaded a new patch 1.1.30 with some minor bugs fixed.
All platforms Windows, Linux and MacOSX are operative.
We expect specific issues in Linux and MacOSX, please use the forum sections available to report them.
About the problems of the physical sky:
The sun position does not match the real time sun position. This is because we are changing the current sky towards a one more realistic one. This current sky version is a bit obsolet for the current maxwell core and so we are doing more efforts in the new sky. Some other related problems, like the sun caustics is due to the same reason. Sorry for the inconveniences, but the changes will be for good.
About the new tone mapping.
We have improve the contrast and color saturation of burned pixels. A good burn value is about 0.85. If you increase it, you get a more burnt image. Be careful because when you decrease this value, you can lose contrast.
