Re: Maxwell Rhino 5.2.6.8 plugin with macOS Tahoe 26

Hello Gaspare,

I could test the plugin on Rhino 8.24 and it seems to work fine so far. However, I could only test it on Sequoia 15.7.2. I'm afraid the Mac I have now at hand is an iMac from 2019 and it cannot be updated to Tahoe, as far as I know.

Best regards,
Fernando

Hello, I'm sorry for the late reply. Hopefully, this is still useful. If you go to the Render Settings panel > Maxwell Render tab > General Settings section > and activate the "Persistent MXS" option, the same file that is used for rendering will be stored in the path set in the MXS Path box. When r...

Hello! Now that Maxwell for Cinema has been released, the plugin for SketchUp is the next one in the queue. We'll add compatibility for SketchUp 2026 and try to improve 2 or 3 things that we have on our list. Hopefully, it won't take a long time. In any case, as I mentioned Mike in a support case, i...

Hello Blanchett, I could reproduce the problem here. As far as I could check, if you ignore the command window (do not close it), the Material Editor should work normally and import the material from the online gallery. In case you don't want the command window to show, you can go to its window, cli...

Hello! I think the main problem with the color of the water comes from the saturation of the "Transmittance" color. The more saturated it gets, the easier is to get closer to that color as the light attenuates. By default, the water preset from the Transparent assistant assigns a pure white color to...

Hello Julien, The command changed in Maxwell 5 as there are now two different benchwells: one for CPU and another one for GPU. If you want to launch the benchwell for CPU, the flag would be -benchwell-cpu And for GPU, it would be -benchwell-gpu It's true it hasn't been updated when running the -h co...

Hello Mark, In order to get a super clean and super fast-rendering water material, just create a normal transparent refractive material, assign it to the water plane object and then, select the object and, in its properties, hide it to GI (or global illumination). This way, you'll have a material th...

Hello! The update is finally out! I'm sorry it took a while, but we changed the developer in charge (he will take a better care of it, I think) so it took a while for him to get the hang of it and make it his own. Also, we took care of the of the new texture options in SketchUp so they were nicely c...

Hello everybody, We have just released a new version of the plugin for SketchUp. It took us a while to release it as we had to change several things, including the installer. Hello, The "Gateway" or "Portal" password is the same you use to login here: https://portal.nextlimit.com/ . If you don't remember it, you can reset it by using the "Forgot your password?" link right below the Login button. Regarding the Maxwell 3 activations using the License Activator, these are n...

Hello,

I'm afraid this may come in very late, but you can do so by selecting the MXS reference and going to the Attributes Panel > Geometry tab > and in the File field, select a different MXS file.

Best regards,
Fernando

I have a couple of canned responses that may or may not apply in your case (be particularly careful with the last one): 1.- Some other processes may have a higher priority than Maxwell and override its control of the CPU power: Look for and reduce the priority of processes like OfficeClickToRun.exe ...
