I think is a consequence of different algorithm. Production uses BPT and GPU (and Draft) uses PT. BPT may have problem conecting paths when both the light and the camera rays have to refract or reflect.

You can drag and drop many MXMs from file browser to studio material panel.
But it's going to ask if embeed or reference in every one of them.
We don't support NvLink, in fact cards connected with NvLink may perform slower with our gpu engine.
Extra sampling it's not working on GPU, but resume is. Or you can do another render (make sure cpuId is different from first one) and then merge both mxis to one.
So improving code wise the merging process, would bring us more performance on the long term? If we change the multigpu concept we won't have this problem. Right now multigpu works like the network, each card doing complete render and then merging samples. You have to wait for other cards because e...
It seems that it only work with user defined data. Let me check this next week with the dev that made pymaxwell.
From the documentation that comes with the installation (sdk/doc), there's a function: byte getUVWChannelProperties (dword iChannel, byte &projType, bool &customProj, Cbase &projectorBase, real &startLatitude, real &endLatitude, real &startLongitude, real &endLongitude, real &startAngle, real &endAn...
A quick question for Next Limit: Referring to the Maxwell website which shows a table of 1GPU, 2GPU and 4GPU and their speed increase compared to the CPU (below). Why does doubling the number of GPU's not also double their speed? - if 1 GPU = 25x faster having 2 GPU should therefore be 50x faster a...
Try selecting refractions in render channel and in global illumination go to Illumination and caustics and select the proper options depending on your scene.
I think in your case the best option is "hide to camera". So those walls won't appear on your image but they will contribute to illumination.
Maxwell allways (well, except on color multilight) renders 32 bit XYZ internally. That's what is saved on mxi. But screens are 8 bit. So the image you see on screen is allways a transformation. Probably the transformation for screen and for the file you asked as output are different. Even if your ou...
Fernando sends me this for OpenCL Errors: That library should be provided by the graphics card driver. I would try the following: 1.-Install or update the graphics card driver. If this doesn't work, try the next option. 2.-Download and install this file from Intel: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W...
Uh, really not much information there . Can you open a support case and send that EXR so we can check if it's something wrong in there?
We didn't drop EXR support. What's the error message?
Actually it is. In the community menu.Matteo Villa wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:02 pm4) Maxwell Render forum if you noticed isn’t even linked on the official page. Why?
