Dude, first of all - it's not stupid - that is exactly what gallery is for. For posting your work. Altho if it is a feedback you're looking for then WIP probably would be the best place to post unfinished work - if this is not intended to be finished or if the work is finished - then Gallery is perf...
Hey dude, have you seen HDR Light Studio ? they are natively integrated with Maxwell since like forever ..
I think your scene would benefit from having some rim lights
Good stuff man!!
Love seeing your tutorials, so calming )
And the amount of attention that you give to camera settings -
Cheers,
Artem.
That's right :) but our eyes are processing light slightly different than the camera lenses. ๐ Since it has a manmade materials - even the best optics would have a bit of scattering with that amount of reflected light .. visually it would look like a "glow"-ish type of effect .. or would produce a l...
Love the vividness :)) reminds me of the old Kodak camera I had :)) I'd suggest to compress the highlights in Lightroom .. or even right in Maxwell to lower the "Burn" value - that would reveal some details in those "super white" areas. And if having those overacted areas is the goal - then I'd go w...
Let me know if you need help with modelling, uv mapping or shading - happy to collaborate
this sounds like a fun project
Don't see much difference here from sss or frosted glass (depending on how much hue / surface) you want to maintain ... I'd go with "frosted glass" setup to start ... and would definitely add sheen via R2 .. plus normal map (for big imperfections) ... + roughness map (for smaller imperfections) Now ...
OH wow.
Now that is a pretty cool system
Would be very helpful in product visualisation as well .. as we work with such nuances pretty often when it comes to reproducing some Pantone or spot colours.
right ?
I mean you - generally glass is pretty reflective in its nature ... so I guess in your case it'll be a balance between realistic and desired look.
Share the ref you're after and let's see what can be done
Cheers
Another great tip !!!
Good stuff!!
Keep it rolling!!
Now you guys are absolutely ROCKING IT ๐ค๐ผ๐ My heroes!! Well done :) I would opt out of placing roughness map into a bump map, or comparing PBR with unbiased rendering. :))))) as those are not the same - but the point is that you are absolutely right that those are super useful tools to use together ...
You're right - and that is exactly what I was suggesting. I would love to still have the fully functional plugins for Maya, but if not - then at least to have a scene packer (like it is pack and go) so that we could send our scene easier to Maxwell. Especially with cameras and lights (it's pretty co...
Cool images!!
Nice and clean!!
Well done mate!
Oh wow :) That solves things I guess :)) 2 Harvey - I was not meant to have a fully working plugin .. but rather a "scene packer" more of a things .. the idea was that there could be a potential for people to make money while growing a community. Maybe coding a full featured plugin is not the best e...
