Only one layer :/
Only one layer :/
Fantastic! Would you mind giving away your secret such as the full mxm?
Thanks!
This is not in the material list. Does anyone have a nice SSS setting for snow?
Best,
Jakob
Thank you for the information. It is my knowledge (please correct me if I am wrong) that clip mapped leaves are too heavy in Maxwell when applied to a full tree (and that is what I am rendering). Clip maps are good for keeping the polygons low but when rendering modeled leaves are better.
Thank you!
Thank you for your patience! This gives a rather white result on leaves for some reason (reflectance 0 is dark green in mxm) as if it had snowed. Leaves still appear rather dark.
Yes. Something like thin paper.seghier wrote:can you show an example?
you mean like paper ?
Thank you. This is a bit too complicated though. I just wanted a setting that transmits light like a leaf without being transparent.
Hello!
I am trying to produce the translucent effect of light when it passes through a leaf. The material can be very simple, no clip maps or textures, but it should just perform as a leaf from distance. Grateful for any advice.
Best,
Jakob
And unlucky! Form Z and Modo are just as small as Lightwave but Next Limit choose to continue support there. I really don't know what to do right now... I guess I will just stick with Maxwell 3
I can almost find no materials on the new Maxwell 4 site. I was looking for "facade". Used to find about 20 materials but now I get nothing. Has a lot of materials been removed or is something wrong with the search engine?
Can you render the same mxi on two computers without using network render and then merge them to a higher SL?
Understood but you still need to go to photoshop in most cases.
This was actually kind of complicated. Next time I will render half the scene on one computer and the other half on another and ad them in Photoshop. Is there a good reason for not doing this?
