I felt like it was time to start posting stuff I've done. Newer images will be posted at the top as I finish'em.

This is from the beta before the RC.

Image

I'm still working on the image -- I feel it really does need hair, but that needs to be modeled strand-by-strand to deal with intersection issues, because I intend to render at print resolution -- however I feel this is good enough to show off.

Here's the wireframe:

Image

Stock DAZ 3d people and high res textures, heavily edited for skin-to-skin interaction. Maxwell SSS, one emitter plane and some wrinkled sheets for light interaction and fingernail reflection.

Wow, really realistic...

The arm is a bit too vainy and hairy to be a woman. but hey it is your render! :o)

Did you use any SS? Is it just regular Difuse material?

Cheers!

It looks like there are two people in the image ... so it is a man's arm on a woman's body.

Very nice render and texturing by the way.

Ha. Oh yeah.. you are right. So, maybe the hand should be more manly. Thicker fingers.

The hell with it.. it looks so real never mind :o

Jerry: "She's got man-hands!!"

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

To answer some of the questions:

Yes, there is subsurface scattering. I tried to keep it subtle.

It is, in fact, a man's arm.

I'm using Lightwave as my host app.
